Supermarket Wine Shopping

The Supermarket wine aisle can feel very overwhelming and it’s easy to just pick up the same New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc you’ve been purchasing for years!

Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with knowing what you like but if you want to try something different and make sure you are getting great bang for your buck then follow my Supermarket Wine buying advice below:

  1. Go for obscure grape varieties and lesser known wine growing areas. Morrisons and Aldi and great for offering something a bit diverse and the Marks and Spencer’s ‘Found’ and ‘Expressions’ range are also all winners!

  2. The best Supermarket wine offer in my opinion is Morrisons ‘The Best’ buy 6 save 25%. I find you get better value for money when you go for the stores premium ‘own label’ wines; ‘The Best’, ‘Specially Selected’, ‘Irresistible’ etc. These retailers have smart and savvy wine buyers behind them now who know their shiz!

  3. Don’t discount your local shop. The Co-op do an excellent selection of wines in their ‘Irresistible’ range.

  4. Download this Supermarket Wine Finder app which will help you find the right Supermarket wine for any occasion and help you discover what you like and don’t like. There are also recommendations from wine content creators (Hi!) that highlight their favourite Supermarket wines! Use the filters to navigate by style, creator or name of Supermarket
